BoardHive Terms of Service

Effective date: August 19, 2026

1. Purpose

These terms govern your use of BoardHive (the "app"), provided by Softopia ("we"), and set out the rights and duties of both sides.

2. Effect and changes

  1. These terms take effect when posted in the app.
  2. We may change them within the limits of applicable law.
  3. We announce changes at least 7 days in advance, and at least 30 days in

advance for changes that disadvantage users.

  1. Continuing to use the app after the announcement means you accept the change.

3. What the app provides

  1. Board game matches against a computer (AI) opponent
  2. Online matches against other users
  3. Your match record
  4. Other features we may add

4. Accounts

  1. The app can be used without signing up. An anonymous account is created on first launch.
  2. The anonymous account is tied to your device. If you uninstall the app or reset the

device, your record and history cannot be recovered.

  1. We are not responsible for data lost in this way.

5. Your responsibilities

You must not:

  1. Reverse-engineer or modify the app, or access it by abnormal means
  2. Use automated tools or external programs to manipulate match results
  3. Interfere with other users or place an excessive load on our servers
  4. Infringe our rights or those of a third party
  5. Break any applicable law

6. Restrictions

  1. We may restrict your use without prior notice if you break section 5.
  2. We may delete the account where the breach is serious or repeated.

7. Play limits and ads

  1. The app may limit how many times you can play within a given period.
  2. You may earn additional plays by watching ads or by other means we provide.
  3. Plays have no monetary value and cannot be refunded, transferred, or exchanged for cash.
  4. The app may show ads. Advertisers are responsible for their content; we are not involved

in the ads themselves or in any transaction arising from them.

8. Changes to and suspension of the service

  1. We may change the service or stop providing it.
  2. We give notice in the app or on our announcement page beforehand. Where this is not

possible — natural disaster, system failure, and the like — we give notice afterwards.

9. Intellectual property

  1. The app and its content belong to us.
  2. You may not copy, distribute, transmit, or commercially exploit them without our prior consent.

10. Limitation of liability

  1. We are not liable for:
  2. Failure to provide the service for reasons beyond our control, such as natural

disasters or network outages

uninterrupted or error-free.

  1. This section does not apply to loss caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

  1. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Disputes are brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
